Client: Hogeschool van Amsterdam
Over 30 study programmes of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences participated in this national project, which aimed to increase the success rate of said programmes. Special attention was paid to the study success of migrant students. Central to managing study success is the primary process: education. That is where it happens.
I led the project team For HBO-ICT and Game Development, which consisted of four components: Study Career Guidance, Students’ Union, and Teacher Competencies. I fulfilled the role of main project leader and was also sub-project leader for the Teacher Competences component.
A concrete success, for example, is the Study Network, in which about 25 active students take on a mentoring role for foundation year students. They attend Professional Skills classes and act as consultant and sparring partner. These students receive training in coaching and mentoring. Both foundation year students and mentors consider the Study Network to be very positive.
