At the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (part of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), I teach ‘writing courses’ in both Dutch and English. In the Inspiration Book and Scenario Writing toolshops, students learn to analyse and understand their own creative drives and the world around them. They then pour this into language and package it all into beautifully designed final products. I guide this process from the first tentative written observations to powerful and personal analyses with individual feedback rounds, class discussions and exercises ‘to flex the writing muscle’.
